Brian Murray founded Washington Street Properties and Washington Street Management, built a personal apartment portfolio over more than two decades, and co-founded Open Door Capital, also creating Open Management, its property management arm — which today oversees more than 12,000 units. Cody Vlaun brings a background in asset management, capital project execution, and entrepreneurial ventures, including co-founding Better Half Getaways, a high-end short-term rental operation. Together, our principals bring extensive operational experience across multiple industries, and that experience shapes how we evaluate every position Freedom Equity holds.
